Dental Fillings

Dental Fillings or tooth fillings, nowadays have become more esthetically pleasing with tooth colored cements such as Composites and GIC. Restorations are needed for decayed/damaged teeth that have not involved the dental pulp (canal) that cause discomfor in the form of sensitivity, or food accumulation, but not causing pain. It is absolutely necessary to get decayed teeth filled as soon as possible to avoid permanent damage, and so as to avoid root canal or extraction in the future! Prevention is better than Cure!

Dental Scaling/ Cleaning on a regular basis (atleast once every 18 months) assures you of healthy gums and teeth.

Dental Plaque and Calculus lead to increased microbial count in the mouth and cause inflammation and infection of gums. If left unattended it can also cause loss of bone support, gum recession, & tooth mobility. Patients with systemic conditions such as Diabetes and others must ensure they get regular oral check ups.

 External stains from teeth due to smoking or coffee/tea stains can also be removed with Scaling & Polishing.

Dental Bleaching

Do note however, Fluorosis Stained Teeth (moderate to severe) are better treated with full Zirconia Crowns.
